The Royal St. Lucia Police Force has launched investigations into the islands 35th known recorded homicide thus far in 2026. The victim has been identified as 32 – year old Jevauny Darrrion Kimani Robert – a Vincentian national residing in St.Lucia.
A police statement on the incident reads “ on Friday may 22nd 2026 about 2:20 pm officers attached to the criminal investigations department responded to a report concerning the discovery of the body of a male individual at a residence in sunny acres , Castries.
Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive male inside the residence with an apparent wound to his neck . A medical practitioner later pronounced him dead at the scene.”
A port mortem examination has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
Investigation Launched into Homicide at Sunny Acres
An outpouring of condolences have flooded social media, from various local and regional organizations and sporting groups that roberts participated in .
Roberts played for the st.lucia national volleyball team, coached tennis, was a netballer and track athlete with sprint tech athletics and a spirited dancer and choreographer.
