The United Kingdom has its second female Prime Minister.
Theresa may was appointed by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth on Wednesday July 13th.
With Hilary Clinton within touching distance of the US presidency, and women in top political positions in Germany, Norway, Poland and Denmark, headlines in international papers are declaring a new female face of politics.
The status of women in politics in the Caribbean has been a topic of discussion in recent times, with one regional feminist saying that women have a long way to go to achieve equality in politics.
