The Sandals U19 Cup continued over the weekend with wins for Babonneau, Gros Islet, Choiseul and Soufriere.
At Des Barras, Babonneau defeated Anse La Raye by 32 runs. Babonneau finished with 225/7, and Anse La Raye were all out on 193.
At Gros Islet, the home team defeated South Castries by 5 wickets. South Castries gave Gros Islet just 84 runs to chase.
At Piaye, Choiseul defeated Mon Repos by 26 runs. The Choiseul U19’s team made 208 for 5 in 35 overs. In reply, Mon Repos U19s were all out on 182.
At the Phillip Marcellin Grounds in the south, Soufriere won a nail biting encounter against Vieux Fort North by 30 runs. Batting first, Soufriere made 273 for 8 in 31 overs, with Xytus Emmanuel adding 48 runs. Bowling for Vieux Fort North, David Naitrum took 2 for 14, and Dilan Fanis 2 for 28.
The home team were all out on 243 in 27.1 overs, with Dyondre Taylor top scoring with 67 runs. Bowling for Soufriere, Trevor Edward took 2 for 20.
Choiseul Secondary leads group A with 8 points.
Micoud leads group B with 6 points.
St. Mary’s College leads group C with 8 points.
Sir Arthur Lewis Community College leads group D with 8 points.
