US Aid Tourism Energy Efficiency Training


Saint Lucia is getting help from a United States development partner to reduce energy costs in tourism – the country’s largest electricity consumer sector.
This week, the US agency for international development (USAID) held a two-day energy efficiency training workshop with the SLHTA.
Agency officials say lowering electricity consumption will lessen environmental impacts and improve economic competitiveness.
