Thomazo Bridge opened to single lane traffic

[Press Release]  The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Energy wishes to inform the public that the Thomazo Bridge will be opened to single lane to north bound traffic from Monday April 30, 2018. South bound traffic will continue to utilise the by-pass road.

This partial opening will allow the contractor to complete construction works on the bridge in the vicinity of the by-pass road. The current use of the by-pass road for two lane traffic, hampers construction activity.

As such, regular traffic heading north will merge into single lane traffic using the Thomazo Bridge. Motorists heading south will be diverted through the by-pass road.

All road users are asked to exercise caution and be guided by the road signs during the execution of these works.

The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Energy wishes to apologize for any inconvenience caused, as we move swiftly to ensure successful completion of the Thomazo Bridge.
