The perennial drug-trafficking problem

The international narcotics board of the United Nations (INCB) says the geographical location and weak governing institutions of the Caribbean continue to pose significant challenges to the fight against illicit drugs.

The INCB released its 2014 annual report this week.

The director of the substance abuse advisory council secretariat says the challenges are many and the assistance inadequate to make a major dent in the situation.
