TEACHER WHO RETURNED ‘MISSING’ GUN TO STUDENT NOT OUT OF THE WOODS

Police say an investigation into what is now a hotly controversial incident, in which a secondary school teacher returned a missing gun to a teen aged student is advancing, although to date, no arrests or charges have been made. This unlikely ‘lost and found’ case has renewed calls for beefed up security checks at public schools and stoked debate over the teacher’s actions under what was a potentially life-threatening ordeal.
