TAXI DRIVERS WEIGH IN ON QUARANTINED CRUISE SHIP AT PORT CASTRIES

Measles is a highly contagious, infectious disease caused by the measles virus. The symptoms usually develop between ten to twelve days after exposure to an infected person, with the disease lasting between seven to ten days. The symptoms include high fever, runny nose, inflamed eyes and spots in the mouth and a rash.
The Ministry of Health has been keen to ensure that St. Lucians are protected from this disease.
