Swimmer Katie Kyle breaks 14-year national record in the UK

Swimmer Katie Kyle, who is shortlisted for the Sportswoman of the year, celebrated the news by smashing the national record in the 100m butterfly over the weekend. Katie, who is at school in the UK, was competing at the Luxembourg Euromeet. Her new time of 1:05.53 in the event beats her previous best, and surpasses a 14 year record of 1:06.69 that was set by Natasha Georges in 2004. Katie also set a 15-17 age group record in the 50m fly, with 29.17
