St. Lucia’s golfers battled their way to the top spot in the recently held regional competition held in the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
St. Lucia’s team fended off challenges from St. Croix, Barbados, Martinique, Antigua, Anguilla, Guadeloupe, and the host country StKitts and Nevis to capture the regional title – it last held in 2023.
St. Lucia’s competitors included timothy Mangal, Eugene Edwin and Andre DhanPaul from the senior men’s team, McHale Andrew and Victor Charles from the super-senior men’s team.
The men’s team comprised, Harith Khan, Nicholas Beaubrun, and Yadhur urs, with Britney Mangal, Lisa GGardner, and Catherine Spooner representing St. Lucia on the women’s golf team.
Among the individual standout performances were Lisa Yardner capturing, the ladies gross winner of the tournament and st. Lucia’s youngest player.
St. Lucia’s men held their nerve in a close contest to emerge victorious with the outstanding performance from Yadhu urs who won the overall gross prize of the tournament. St. Lucia’s victorious golf team was managed by Dawyne King.
