St. Lucia’s Olympic representative Levern Spencer, has been named to represent the country at the 17th IAAF World Indoor Championships in Athletics.
Since the start of the year, Levern has been in superb form, matching her national record of 1.95m. She is currently on rest, and spending her time tweaking her technique.
Also travelling to the UK will be Nick Joseph, who is the national junior record holder in the 100m. He will represent St. Lucia in the 60m dash.
One of St. Lucia’s Olympians, Jeannelle Scheper did not make the qualifying standards of 1.92m, however she did jump 1.88 after a year-long break. It’s not all bad news for the 23 year old high jumper, as she celebrates her recently graduation from the University of South Carolina, with her Masters in Economics.
