SLP Declines Request For Deputy Speaker Appointment

The opposition Saint Lucia Labor Party has rejected the request from the incumbent united workers party to appoint one of their own as a deputy speaker in the house of assembly.
Opposition leader Phillip J. Pierre explains to HTS News4orce, that a positive response would not have been beneficial to the SLP.
Meanwhile, three opposition politicians are being recommended to the governor general to serve in the senate.
