SLOC INC CONGRATULATES LEVERN SPENCER ON CAC GOLD

The Saint Lucia Olympic Committee Incorporated has congratulated champion womens high jumper Levern Spencer on yet another capture of the Caribbean and Central American (CAC) High jump gold medal as the 2018 CACSO Games continued in Barranquilla, Colombia Thursday night.

Spencer entered the competition at  1.82 metres  and her winning jump was of 1.90 metres.

” On behalf  of the SLOC Inc. Executive Board and all of its members, let me  extend congratulations  to you on  your gold  medal winning  performance  earlier today. Defending  your  championship title  was most welcomed at this time, ” Secretary General Alfred Emmanuel said in his congratulatory mail.

Spencer was gracious in accepting the congratulations and stated her own thanks for the recognition.

” Through you,  I would like to say  thanks to the SLOC Inc Executive Board and all its members for the opportunity to represent  my country and  for your congratulatory remarks. Indeed it was  my goal to repeat as CAC Games champion. I am glad to know it was appreciated ” Spencer wrote in response. 

Two other Saint Lucian athletes were in competition as the Games continued – Sandisha Antoine set a new national record for the triple jump leaping  13.91 metres while Javelin thrower Albert Reynolds placed seventh in his event  with a distance of 73.56 metres.
