SLNT URGES GOV’T TO RECONSIDER CABOT QUEENS CHAIN LEASE

The Saint Lucia National Trust has expressed what its describes as profound disappointment over a recent decision by the cabinet of ministers to lease the queen’s chain along Saint Lucia’s north east coast to Cabot Saint Lucia for 75 years. The trust warns that access to these lands by Saint Lucians are in doubt. The natural and cultural heritage organization is considering its legal options amid calls for the government to review the decision.
