SLMDA PRESIDENT SAYS PENDING OKEU TRANSITION NOT ENOUGH TO ALLEVIATE STRAIN ON HEALTHCARE SYSTEM

The president of the St. Lucia Medical and Dental Association Dr. Merle Clarke has called for greater urgency from policy makers to address the critical situation at St. Lucia’s public health facilities. The hospitals are bearing the brunt of the stress, resulting from the large number of accidents and violent incidents. Dr. Clarke says the acute shortage of beds needs urgent attention.
