Press Release- A total of 33 goals were scored between Day one and Day 2 of the 3rd Annual U14 tournament. Tournament organizers, the Gros islet football expected it to be a thrilling weekend as clubs had started months in advance for this northern zone tournament. It is a tournament FC pioneers has won twice hence all teams will be looking out for them.


Day 1 proved to be more prolific as 23 goals were with only four games being played at the Grand Rivere Playing Field.

Game 1 saw defending champions thrashing noisy neighbors Valley Soccer 7-0. Two goals by Marlon Nurse, hat trick by Ajani Hippolyte, one goal a piece by Emmanuel Francis and Shaquan Nelson.


Game 2 saw VSADC coming from behind to win the game in the dying minute of extra time with a shocker from long range. Flow lancers dominated the first half of play ending 3-1 in their favour with a hat trick by Dante Fitz. The second half saw some strange substitutions by Flow Lancers which enabled VSADC to capitalize on such. Keegan Cual of VSADC scored three times in the second half added to his one goal in the first half to win the game 4-3.

Game 3 ended with Northern United settling for three points after Monchy FC was a no show.


Game 4 saw third place finishers of last year’s U13 tournament, Big Players taking on new comers New Generation of Babonneau. Big Players dominated this encounter although New Generation scored first in the 15th minute of play with a goal from Ouri Thomas. Big Players equalized in the 20th minute of play with a brilliant goal from Gillian Clercin ending first half 1-1. Big Players got a stern and encouraging pep talk from senor coach CassyBoom which helped them destroy New Generation in the second half. Adrian Vitalis completed his hat trick with goals in the 27th, 40th and 45th of play.  Female player, Arnicka Louis of Big Players also came to the party scoring a long range goal in the 42nd minute of play. Game ended 5-1 in favour of Big Players.


Day 2 Grand Rivere Playing Field

Three games were played during Day 2 of the Guardsman U14 tournament.

Game 1 ended in a draw. New Generation came against GMC United. Four goals were scored in the first half of play. GMC scorers were Josh George in the 11th and  Niam Wilson in the 28th minute of play while Baggio Edward scored in the 19th and Rickelme Lionel scored in the 30th minute of play for New Generations. Game ended 2-2.


Game 2 ended 3-2 in favour B1 out of Marchand. Jahlil Evans found the back of the net twice for Northern in the 27th and 30th minute of play but Donovan Phillip of B1 also found the back of the net in the 16th and 30th minute of play. The deciding goal came in the 45th minute of play by Keanu Felicien of B1.


Game 3. Big player defeated Valley Soccer 1-0 with a sole goal from Keanu Christopher in the 18th minute of play.


Matches continue on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th at the Grand Rivere Playing Field from 9:30am Daily. See you there!!!!
