September 9th 2015 Constitution Reform And The CCJ

The Privy Council is currently the final appellate court of saint Lucia.
However there is increased talk of the need to shift the judicial framework in Saint Lucia to view the Caribbean court of justice as the final appellate court on civil matters.
The recent review of the constitutional reform report in the house of assembly highlighted the recommendations that stand in favour of the accession to the CCJ.
Hts Newsforce sat down with Everistus Jn Marie who serves as a commissioner on the regional judicial and legal services commission to gain some insight into the CCJ.
