SEA URCHINS UNDER THREAT IN ST. LUCIA

The sea urchin or sea egg populations in the waters of the eastern Caribbean, (Saint Lucia included), are said to be under immense pressure. That’s the conclusion of the latest studies on that fishery. Now a concerned citizen in the south, is ringing alarm bells over the wanton poaching of the species.

  1. I wish NCA and fisheries could do more to protect our beaches and fieh especially the turtles. Sand mining in Marisule and illegal fish of turtles, lopsters, conch shell, sea eggs.. sand mining is everyday at Marisule Beach, it worse because the road is fix so cars, jeeps joint the fun of sand mining,. c.Calabah stage guest will soon have nothing to enjoy, dirt beach. Beautiful st. Lucia, our people are sick, everybody always right to take.
