RODNEY BAY COCONUT VENDOR PROTEST SHORT LIVED

One day following the deadline for coconut vendors of Rodney Bay to pack up a leave, their initial resistance seems to have crumbled. The vendors complained of unfair treatment at the hands of the Gros Islet Constituency Council and the parliamentary representative for Gros Islet. They claim that the promises made to build facilities for them to have them continue their commerce were not kept. The vendors seem to have given up the fight.
