Roblot Combined School to host anti-violence pageant

[Press Release] In an effort to integrate respect and support for Children’s rights at a school and community level the Roblot Combined School will be hosting a schools pageant under the theme, “Stop Violence Against Children.”

On Sunday, 6th May, 2018, nine beautiful girls, Ambassadors for Children, will be vying for the title of Miss Roblot Combined 2018. Throughout this journey, the participants have been engaged in activities which promote positive messages of peace and doing good deeds.

The administrative body of the school has acknowledged that by educating and empowering children, parents and the community on the need for reporting violence as it relates to the children, this will help build strong, well-educated communities. It is also anticipated that with enhanced parental and community knowledge there will be improved care and protection for children. All students come from the three close knit communities of De Brieul, Roblot and La Maze.

The nine ambassadors are Rickella Xavier, Daniella Daniel, Asa Charles, Mariah Marshal, Shania Descartes, Makela Joseph, Nerdelsha Joseph, Kayan Francis and Nazia Blanchard. We invite the public to come out and support the pageant. Tickets are available from the school, its teachers and various community members.
