Ravine Poisson Shooting Victim Discharged with Bullet Lodged in Leg

Two people sustained gunshot wounds during a suspected drive-by shooting incident at Ravine Poisson, Bexon on August 16.

41-year-old Sherwin Auguste was shot multiple times and later succumbed at the scene. Auguste, also known as Shervy was, at the time of the shooting, patronizing a roadside bar. The gunshots reportedly rang out fatally wounding Auguste and injuring the proprietor of the bar who was shot in the right thigh.

The injured Ravine Poisson bar owner, who has since been discharged from hospital, is recovering at home. HTS News4orce obtained comment from the second shooting victim who requested anonymity.

In addition to dealing with the stress from the deadly shooting and ensuing police investigation, the traumatized bar owner is worried about the survival of the business.  Surgery is reportedly required to remove the bullet still lodged in the bar owner’s thigh. The shooting has compounded financial concerns for the single parent. [Watch video]

The Criminal Investigations Department has not confirmed arrests in relation to the 34th recorded homicide of 2017.
