RAISE YOUR VOICE WANTS LAWS TO EMPOWER WOMEN

Women’s Rights activists led by Raise Your Voice continues to exhort the government and policy makers to enact legislation to empower women in Saint Lucia.

One of the organizers of the much talked about 2018 International Women’s Day march slated for 8 March made another impassioned plea for change on the eve of the rally.

The advocates want special attention to be paid to the OECS family law bills, the civil code, the harmonization age of maturity to 18, as well as improvements to women support shelters and the family court.
