Power and Groovy Soca Prelims was “the best after-work lime” of the Carnival season

On June 30th, over thirty [30] of Saint Lucia’s groovy and power soca artists took to the stage at the Vigie Complex in Castries to compete for a coveted spot in the finals slated for Carnival Sunday, July 16th.

The power and groovy soca preliminaries was split into two segments, starting with groovy soca artists performing their qualified tunes in front of a packed crowd. Judges would have to shortlist the best 10 groovy artists for the big final.

This was the first Groovy and Soca Prelims managed by the Events Company of Saint Lucia under the new Soleil Saint Lucia Summer Festival.
