A renowned Caribbean feminist and academic says the region needs more female politicians.
Lecturer at the University Of The West Indies Institute for gender and development studies
Dr. Gabrielle Hosein delivered a lecture on “women, politics and transformational leadership” at the UWI open campus on Thursday night.
She says while the number of women who participated in Saint Lucia’s 2016 general election is encouraging, there is still some way to go to achieve gender parity in politics.
