PM Christmas Party For Special Needs Children

Annually, the Prime Minister’s Office spreads some Christmas joy to Saint Lucia’s special needs children.

On Thursday, December 8th, children from the different centers gathered at the prime minister’s official residence for a fun-time.

The family-friendly social event featured snacks, toys and goodie bags.

The differently-abled also got the opportunity to try out body art.

The special needs institutions are not without challenges.

President of the national council of and for persons with disabilities, Merphilus James says after a term filled with long hours, it’s an occasion for educators to un-wind.

Participating institutions included the Dunnottar School, lady Gordon Opportunity Centre, the Soufriere Special Education and Rehabilitation Centre, the Saint Lucia Blind Welfare Association, the Dennery Development Centre and the Vieux Fort Special Education Centre.
