Pep is the 2017 Calypso Monarch

The Mighty Pep is new national Monarch of Calypso.

After two rounds of intense competition among the best 10 Calypsonians in Saint Lucia, the judges on the night (July 15) scored Pep at number one overall.

The strength of songs ‘Why I Die’ and, ‘Fraid the Doctor’ were by the judges account, the best on the night.

Pep is now an eight (8) time winner of the Calypso Monarch competition.

The complete results: 1st place Pep. 2nd place Solange. 3rd place Morgie. 4th place Nintus and Herb Black (tie).
