Questions from local reporters surrounding allegations against Jimmy Henry, Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture were left unanswered by the government following the July 10th weekly pre-Cabinet press briefing.
Ex-government Minister and talk show host Richard Frederick, during a live broadcast on July 6th, alleged that as part of a police investigation, authorities stopped and questioned Minister Henry at the George F.L Charles Airport. He claims the Minister was suspected of carrying a significant sum of undeclared cash.
Frederick alleges that police investigators intercepted Henry’s communications, which led to the airport stop. Henry was allegedly bound for Barbados.
Economic Development Minister and Cabinet colleague of Henry, Guy Joseph would not address the claims and told reporters, “I do not address speculation.” When pressed further by reporters, Joseph pushed back stating, “I do not respond to anything this talk show host says.”

Frederick, an ex-Cabinet colleague of at least six incumbent Ministers claim the Prime Minister’s Cabinet will be reduced by one.
Richard Frederick claims the airport investigation could be linked to Henry’s impending resignation, if the allegations can be substantiated.
Attempts to reach Mr. Jimmy Henry for comment have not been successful.
