OECS reducing disaster risk vulnerabilities

The commission of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States has assessed the communities in Saint Lucia, which are most vulnerable to extreme climate-related events and will soon embark on a project to assist them.
The commission, with the assistance of the Caribbean catastrophe risk insurance facility, is ensuring that national and community-level partners validate the assessments.
On Thursday, those partners also provided input into the development of action plans for those communities.
