The commonwealth of Dominica is celebrating 38 years of independence from Great Britain.
This year’s independence activities focused on unity and resilience, as the country continues to rebuild from the devastation wrought by tropical storm Erika in august, 2016.
A number of Dominicans resident in Saint Lucia joined representatives of the OECS for a flag raising ceremony on Thursday.
