Former national security minister Guy Mayers he is stunned that the police welfare association is making public pronouncements about gay, lesbian and bisexual members of the force.
This week, the association’s president said he was concerned about discrimination faced by his officers who are members of the LGBT community.
Mayers says this statement might send the wrong signals.
