November 14th 2015 King Leaves Convention After Isaac’s Remarks

The UWP’S 39th convention on Sunday was not without its rows – and one erupted when Mary Isaac made what former Prime Minister Stephenson King says was an offensive comment directed at him. While speaking at the podium the UWP’S Castries south candidate said “there is no serving prime minister who sits as an ordinary member of parliament,” adding that politicians must know when to bow out.
While an irate Stephenson King and his delegation stormed out of the meeting, Issac is standing by her statements.
