OUTGOING CARICOM CHAIRMAN ADDRESSES HEADS AT 40TH MEETING

The out-going chairman of CARICOM – the Prime Minister of St. Kitts & Nevis , Dr. Timonthy Harris has passed the baton to St Lucia’s Prime Minister Allen Chastanet. Dr. Harris called on the new CARICOM chairman to build on some of the work undertaken under his chairmanship.

The ministry of education says there was nothing wrong with this year’s minimum standard examinations, despite the delay. This statement was made, as some parents complained about not receiving their students results, which were expected to be released at the same time as the common entrance results.

St. Lucia is one of 4 Caribbean nations selected to be part of a special project that seeks to gather and organize information on disabilities. The other Caribbean nations chosen for this project are Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada and Jamaica.
