The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) joined the global community Wednesday, November 5, 2025, to commemorate world tsunami awareness day under the theme, “be tsunami ready: invest in tsunami preparedness,” reminding residents that while hurricanes are the most common threat, the island remains vulnerable to other natural disasters, including tsunamis.
