NEMO ASSESSES PORT READINESS FOR NATURAL DISASTERS

The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) wants to ensure that Saint Lucia’s ports are prepared for disaster.

This, on the onset of the 2018 Atlantic hurricane season and last year’s catastrophic hurricanes which tested Caribbean ports.

A readiness assessment of local air and seaports in times of disaster got underway on 4 June.
