As part of the Soleil Saint Lucia Summer Festival the Belle-Vue Development Committee in collaboration with the Ministry of Equity, Social Justice, Empowerment hosted a Carnival Queen Pageant entitled ‘MISS MASS IN DA VUE’.
The Carnival Queen Show saw the preparation of five beautiful and talented young ladies who competed for the title.
The show featured five segments: Swimwear, Talent, Costume, Evening Wear, and Interview.
Social Transformation Officer and Pageant Co-ordinator Kendal Elva stated: “Anything that has to do with the empowerment the ministry is most supportive. I think it is a wonderful activity that the Belle-Vue Development Committee has implemented. We believe communities must unit and do things together.”
The results on the night was as follows:
People’s Choice Award – Niah Moncherry
Miss Congeniality – Tiffanie MacFarlane – Miss Belle Vue
Best Swimwear- Gabrian Popo- Miss Pierrot
Best Talent – Niah Moncherry – Miss Desruisseaux
Best Costume – Gabrian Popo – Miss Pierrot
Best Evening Wear – Gabrian Popo – Miss Pierrot
Best Interview – Niah Moncherry -Miss Desruisseaux
Second Runner-up – Niah Moncherry – Miss Desruisseaux
First Runner-up – Kianna Nicholas – Miss Vieux-Fort
Miss Mass In Da Vue (Queen) – Gabrian Popo – Miss Pierrot
Miss Mass in Da Vue 2017 Gabrian Popo, had this to say: “I feel good. I was not expecting to win. A word of advice, do not allow anyone bring you down when you have a goal and passion to do something.”
