MET SERVICES SAYS RECENT RAINS NO CAUSE FOR CELEBRATION

Director of met services Andre Joyeux is advising against premature celebrations after the island experienced a few hours of rainfall due to the passage of an errant tropical wave. Saint Lucians breathed a sigh of relief following heavy showers on Monday and Tuesday. But officials say this was short-lived with dry and arid conditions expected to prevail over the next two months.
