Medical facilities remain operational despite Tropical Storm Matthew

Saint Lucia is experiencing the affects from Tropical Storm Matthew.  As associated downpours and thunderstorms from the weather system continues over the next 24 hours, the Min. of Health is giving assurances that contingencies are in place to keep medical services operational.

”The Ministry of Health has been working with the various heads of departments at various institutions to ensure no brakes in service. We have been ensuring our water supplies and medication stock are sufficient. We are also working with key health facilities to ensure capacity and medical care remains available.”

Pharmaceuticals and other important health care products should be included along with the other recommended items in your emergency food and safety kits.
