Lessons from UK Elections

Political scientist Denys Springer says there are quite a few lessons that local politicians and members of the public can learn from the recent United Kingdom election race.
British prime minister David Cameron and his conservative party received an outright majority in parliament, with 331 seats out of 650.
Springer says while many elements of the UK approach showed political maturity, there was a bigger lesson in polling – one that showed that sometimes, the polls get it wrong.
