The Lady Janice Compton benefits bill has been withdrawn.
Government’s announcement that the bill would be down for consideration at the Tuesday February 7th house sitting was met with strong public opposition.
Many people stated that while they agreed with the rationale for the legislation, its provisions should be extended to all former first ladies.
