LABOUR COMMISSION TO STEP DOWN, GOV’T SEEKS REPLACEMENT

Labor Minister Stephenson King believes that Heads of Department should not retire before a proper succession plan is in place.

King weighed in on the upcoming retirement of Labor Commissioner Ray Narcisse in the next year. He says the departure will not have an immediate impact on the Department.

The government is currently looking for a successor.

The Chairman and two other members recently resigned from the Labor Tribunal. King says the issues at the Tribunal are being resolved.

The new Tribunal is set to meet at the end of this month
