Is EU tax haven black list unfair?

14 Caribbean nations are among 30 countries black-listed by the European Union (EU) as the worst tax havens in the world.
While Saint Lucia is not part of that list, Caribbean leaders are speaking out about the potential impact of this list on the region as a jurisdiction.
One local economist says it’s an opportunity for those who escaped the reprimand, to ensure that they remain compliant with EU tax guidelines, and for the black-listed Caribbean states, to do what is necessary to get back into the good graces of the European commission.
