The university of Glasgow in Scotland has agreed to pay to the university west indies the sum of twenty million pounds for its part in the Atlantic slave trade.
This agreement marks a significant milestone in the efforts to have countries and institutions that were involved in the slave trade pay reparations to the ancestors of slaves.
So we ask.
Should governments and institutions that were involved in the slave trade be pressure to follow the example of Glasgow university?
