Health Officials Step-Up Zika Surveillance

The ministry of health has intensified surveillance for the Zika virus.
Two weeks ago, St. Lucia’s chief medical officer said a new surveillance system was being rolled out, as primary health care facilities recorded increases in the number of patients seeking medical assistance for itchy skin.
On Wednesday June 30th, health officials confirmed that the focus of testing is on at-risk groups.
