GOV’T DEFENDS CIP AMID US STATE DEPARTMENT REPORT

The Allen Chastanet Administration has defended due diligence procedures for Saint Lucia’s Citizenship by Investment program, despite a United States caution over a lack of autonomy from the political directorate. Security Minister Hermangild Francis says U.S authorities lauded local due diligence methods during a visit in March.

Acknowledging the potential fallout from the us report, Minister in the Ministry of Finance Dr. Ubaldus Raymond says the government welcomes the scrutiny.
