FREDERICK COMMENTS ON SVG ELECTION OUTCOME

ndependent candidate for Castries central, Richard Frederick, offered his commentary on the recently held general election in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). The SVG poll saw the Conservative Opposition New Democratic party (NDP) celebrating a historic win, with the country preparing to welcome a new prime minister after over 24 years of rule by the previous party.

Frederick expressed his belief that Outgoing Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves had served the nation well but suggested that Gonsalves should have stepped down earlier, allowing “fresh minds” to take over the governance of the country.
