A local contractor has called on the government to absorb the charges levied by financial institutions to unpaid contractors employed prior to the general election.
This comes amid controversy over the government’s decision to put the said constituency development programme works in abeyance.
Economic development minister guy joseph says this was to facilitate a technical audit of CDP contracts. He accused the dr. Kenny Anthony administration of failing to follow the established procedure. However, with funds recently disbursed by the Taiwanese Government, the minister has promised to pay contractors for works undertaken. However, one outspoken contractor says that’s not good enough.
