FORMER PRIME MINISTER POURS COLD WATER ON ESTIMATES

The opposition Saint Lucia Labor Party is questioning the merit of a budgetary process amid the covid-19 pandemic. Debate on the 2020/2021 estimates of expenditure continued with opposition mps arguing that the exercise is not necessary. They contend that the constitution makes allowances for emergencies of the order of magnitude of the covid-19 crisis.
