Final send off for former Parliamentarian Ferdinand Henry

[Press release] The Government of Saint Lucia is mourning the death of the late Ferdinand Henry (former parliamentarian and Minister of Agriculture) who passed away on Thursday May 10, 2018.

An official funeral will be held on Friday May 25, 2018 about 2:00pm at the Saint Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in La Ressource, Dennery.

The body will be exposed for viewing at the House of Parliament on Laborie Street, Castries from 9:00am – 12 noon on Friday May 25, 2018.

The Parade will march off from Police Headquarters to the House of Parliament at 11:45am. Thereafter, the Cortege will take the following route at 12:00 noon having departed the House of Parliament;

Leave Laborie Street then left unto Jeremie Street, proceed to the Inner Relief Road. The Cortege then stops near the Saint Lucia Air and Seaports Authority during which time mourners will board the available buses to proceed to La Ressource – Dennery for the service.

Upon arrival in La Ressource – Dennery, the Parade will reform near cemetery junction, then proceed to Saint Michael’s Roman Catholic Church. After the service, the Parade will again march to the La Ressource Cemetry for internment of the body.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force would like to appeal to all motorists and pedestrians to be patient as there will be some minor disruptions to the flow of traffic during the parades in Castries and Dennery.
