February 25th 2016 NIC Promotes Sneaker Day

Saint Lucia has one of the world’s highest rates of diabetes and hypertension per capita.
The national insurance corporation is aware of the rise in non-communicable diseases and the impact on productivity and health care costs.
But rather than just talk about it, the NIC has implemented a series of activities to increase St. Lucia’s “physical literacy”.
They have just conducted an” in house” pilot project called “sneaker day”.
