Facing Cancers Disturbing Trends

A local cancer specialist says over the last decade, there has been an increase in not just cases of cancer, but the types of cancers being diagnosed.
Dr. Owen Gabriel says whereas prostate and breast cancers were among the most prevalent and known types of the disease, there is a growing number of gastro-intestinal or digestive cancers which affect the stomach and bowels.
